SFCP visited a mini garments factory and beauty salon in Savar, both run by members of the transgender community, and found two thriving symbols of creativity and empowerment rather than just small businesses.
At the garments factory, skilled workers designed and produced clothing with evident craft and pride. At the beauty salon nearby, fully staffed and managed by the transgender community, beauticians demonstrated real expertise in styling and makeup in a space built on acceptance. The visit underscored why supporting inclusive enterprises matters — not only for economic growth, but for dismantling the stereotypes such communities still face.
