Capacity Building for the underprivileged and homeless Girls of ActionAid's Happy Home

SFCP supported the design and implementation of a two-week jewelry-making capacity-building initiative in collaboration with ActionAid Bangladesh, conducted from Feb 15 to Feb 30, 2025. The training was organized for SHOILEE-a renowned costume jewelry brand and targeted 22 underprivileged and homeless girls aged 16 to 24 residing at Happy Home in Dhaka. Emphasizing the use of sustainable and recyclable materials in line with contemporary eco-friendly trends, the program significantly enhanced the participants’ technical skills in jewelry production. Beyond skill development, the initiative prepared the young women for future employment opportunities within the jewelry industry and empowered them to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Through this hands-on training, the girls gained both the confidence and practical competence to transform their creativity into sustainable livelihoods.
